The Russians struck Turkish-occupied Northern Syrian today with some airstrikes against the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) East of Tel Rifa’at.
I had thought that they would not do this again until there were further negotiations, but I guess I was wrong. It is still unclear how common strikes like these will be in the future. Putin might be enjoying a new status quo in which Russian airstrikes can target any part of Turkish-occupied Syria.
Hopefully I will have an article up at Realist Review discussing this topic. If it is not published there, I will publish it here in a few days.
Very informative piece
